Isla Mujeres Cemetery
We were fortunate to be able to celebrate "Dia de Los Muertos" by visiting the above cemetery in Isla Mujeres. This holiday is a time set aside in Mexico to honor their deceased. It coincides with All Souls Day in the christian calendar.
This was a remarkable place that you can see is decorated with love and reverence. Each grave has an area on it with two doors that can be opened where loved ones place food, drink, pictures, or any object that may draw the spirit of the loved one.
